Treaure Island tonight...

The San Francisco Skyline from Treasure Island

I recently joined a Meetup Group to, ya know, meetup with other photographers in the area. Tonight will be the first time I shoot with these folks. The destination is Treasure Island in San Francisco to shoot the SF Skyline and Bay Bridge. It's been a while since I've done this and I'm looking forward to it, as well as getting to share ideas and different locations with other photogs.

The shot above was taken on May 11, 2011 so it's been a little over two years. This is shot from the area near the coffee stand at the entrance to the old base. The area past the gate is open so we're going to get some perspectives from farther out on the island.

Unfortunately the Bay Lights by Leo Villareal aren't visible from this angle, they're pointed towards the main part of The City. As such I may pop over there afterwards and get some images.

On a side note: Facebook makes it rather difficult to change the name of a Page, so I've created a new one to reflect the name-change -

I've requested that the current Page be migrated over to the new, so hopefully that will get done and I won't lose all the posts, comments, and images from the past two years.
